Mechanic Truck & Trailer Almelo

The position

The mechanic deals with the maintenance of the fleet of vehicles. The fleet consists of both trucks, trailers and also light commercial vehicles. You will also maintain the refrigeration systems of the trucks, trailers and light commercial vehicles. You will take into account the properties of different types of refrigeration systems and the quality requirements.

You and your colleagues are jointly responsible for carrying out maintenance and repairs so that the trucks can be driven safely.

What will you be doing?

The work that you will perform as a Mechanic Truck & Trailer mainly takes place in the workshop, but sometimes also on the road if one of our own drivers has problems on the road that cannot be solved by himself or locally.

• You will be involved in troubleshooting using advanced diagnostic equipment;
• You are responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on electronic, mechanical, motor and hydraulic issues;
• You have knowledge of maintenance and repair of cooling engines and can also perform the inspection (or willing to learn this);
• Performing MOT inspections on trucks;
• You are willing to participate in the breakdown service;
• You have contact and consultation with colleagues and our own drivers.

What do we expect of you?

• Completed education in mechanical engineering, automotive technician, motor vehicle technology or similar;
• Several years of relevant work experience as a truck mechanic. Experienced car mechanic, commercial vehicle mechanic or similar are also welcome;
• In possession of MOT inspection papers or willing to obtain them at short notice;
• In possession of an F-Gassen/STEK certificate or willing to obtain one;
• In possession of driving license B;
• Command of the Dutch, German and/or English language.
